Gearing up for the maiden launch of MelissaShanley.com. Recent fiber works have been building up and need to be seen, need to be in the world with others. Images have also been finding their way to me through photography, again. I am excited to share them with you all. Each new series will be announced with a blog post... Monthly, I hope, but that will be up to the gods and fairies that be.

I am looking to show fiber sculptural works and photographic images in Europe, as well. Please send any interest my way. Looks like it will be an exciting year.

Welcome to a view of the world through the eyes of Melissa Shanley. Having worked as an artist for 3 decades, my history spans many mediums. Recent years and recent works bring me to focus on photography. Various forms of fiber sculpture in previous years brought me back to the abstracted simplicity of photography.
