Media and Sizes

Media:

Single edition photographs are captured, uniquely, in natural light.  Editing is avoided.  The resulting composition is infused onto aluminum panel.  This allows a contemporary connection with the composition without obstruction of glass or frame.  These materials work well and boldly for my objective: I hunt line transforming composition into abstraction and line which draws the viewer in closer than they would consider venturing alone.  Large, bold panels bring the viewer into contact with a subject often overlooked.

I attempt to capture a composition uniquely and spontaneously, striving for detailed abstraction of daily life.  I am most satisfied when a subject has so completely communicated with me in the moment that no editing is required.

Sizes:

The individual compositions are inspired in groups and captured in series.  Some work naturally emerges as diptychs; some images stand alone; some ask to be presented in full series format, aligned as companions, together.

Work of some series, such as the "Canal House" series, are printed on aluminum panels of 20" x 30" (60cm x 80cm) to 40" x 60" (100cm x 150cm), depending what the image or series implores.

Most recent series,
#QuarantineDogWalks, as well as older works such at the "Huis", "VQ: Les Détails" and "Moments" series, are printed on aluminum panels of 20" x 16" (50cm x 40cm) or 18" x 12" (45 cm x 30cm).
